Carita Riska, "Cita", was born in 1944 in Helsinki, Finland. She belongs to the minority of swedish-speaking Finns and lives in Finland.
Image and text have always fascinated her. She expresses forms in drawings using ink and pencil, and uses aquarelle to interpret nature with its light and colours. She studied art for one year at the art school Gerlesborg in Sweden and also studied teaching at Levande Verkstad ("Living workshop") in Stockholm.
